You must be 19+.

You must be 19+ to purchase, possess or consume cannabis or be allowed in a Cannabis NB store.

You can't consume cannabis in public.

In New Brunswick, it is illegal to consume cannabis in any public place, or in a vehicle on a highway or roadway. This is the case regardless of whether it is a product you smoke, vape, eat or drink.

Cannabis NB and approved private retail partners are the only legal retailers to sell cannabis products in New Brunswick.

Only cannabis products sold at Cannabis NB (in-store and online) and approved private retail partners are tested, regulated, safe... and legal. You can find a list of approved private retailers here

The legal limit.

In New Brunswick, you can purchase and carry up to 30 grams (or equivalent) at a time. For products that are not dried flower, the equivalent is calculated and automatically added by Cannabis NB at time of purchase, to ensure you cannot exceed the limit in one transaction.

Your cannabis must always be secure.

Once you have purchased cannabis, it must be kept in a secure place that's inaccessible to a person who is under 19 years of age.

Cannabis and driving don’t mix.

Like alcohol, cannabis can cause impairment, whether it is smoked, vaped, or ingested (eat/drink). It is illegal to drive while impaired.
