“Where am I allowed to consume these new types of cannabis products?”

According to the NB Cannabis Control Act, restrictions apply as to where cannabis can be consumed. Be aware that within this act there is no differentiation based on the type of cannabis product, as to where one is legally allowed to consume it.

As a result, whether it is going to be ingested (ate/drank), inhaled, or consumed in any other manner, the law in New Brunswick applies the same way for all cannabis products. According to the act, adults in NB are allowed to consume cannabis within a private dwelling, or on vacant land, so long as they have consent from the occupant to do so.

Places where cannabis products cannot be legally consumed include any public place, as well as within any vehicle on a highway or roadway.
