“Where am I allowed to consume these new types of cannabis products?”
According to the NB Cannabis Control Act, restrictions apply as to where cannabis can be consumed. Be aware that within this act there is no differentiation based on the type of cannabis product, as to where one is legally allowed to consume it.
As a result, whether it is going to be ingested (ate/drank), inhaled, or consumed in any other manner, the law in New Brunswick applies the same way for all cannabis products. According to the act, adults in NB are allowed to consume cannabis within a private dwelling, or on vacant land, so long as they have consent from the occupant to do so.
Places where cannabis products cannot be legally consumed include any public place, as well as within any vehicle on a highway or roadway.

Let me premise this with the fact that I have only ever purchased from Shoppers medical or Cannabis NB. I know that Cannabis NB is the only legal place to buy cannabis in New Brunswick. But is there a charge or fine attached to purchasing from online stores or dispensaries. I know they are illegal, but what is the law pertaining to the consumer? Where can I find the official documents for this law and does it elaborate beyond, "Cannabis NB is the only legal place to purchase Cannabis"? What are the consequences for either party? Why are these shops allowed to run with giant billboards and storefronts?Read answer

I do not use any of these products, however, I have a young adult in my life who does. He has his Driver's learning permit and would like me to take him practice driving. How long (hours or days) does he need to free from consumption? As I am the one with the car & insurance I want to insure that he can safely drive. Thank you.Read answer
